The excellent educational programs at our partner universities not only dramatically improve our language skills, but also provide a great opportunity to expand our perceptions and build our basic understanding of the world by experiencing foreign cultures.
Overseas Short-Term Training Program
During the vacation period, students have the opportunity to communicate and make friendships with young people around the world through foreign language learning (English, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.) and cultural experiences at overseas partner universities and institutions. The program establishes a preliminary plan by setting up a research topic and then explores advanced cases in foreign countries. It offers an opportunity to showcase and a small amount will be paid as scholarship..
On-campus program
This mentoring program is designed to help foreign students in undergraduates learn Korean and adapt to life in Korea and a small amount will be paid as sacholarship.
Overseas Exchange Program and Eligibility
Overseas Exchange Student Program
Overview
To become a leader with the ability to work freely on the world stage in the age of globalization, it is necessary to have international sense and ability to speak foreign languages, and have specialized expertise and skills to freely work in specialized areas where the days are differentiated differently. Joongbu University offers an exchange student program to provide students with opportunities to study advanced academic subjects abroad. To this end, we have signed academic exchange agreements with some of the world's leading universities to support our students in building their global capabilities.
Eligibility
Exchange students may vary from country to country, but they may be sent from the first semester of the third year to the first semester of the fourth year.
Selection procedure
- The International Exchange Center selects candidates for exchange education by examining the student's academic record, interview, and language skills (for overseas exchange).
- Students selected for exchange education should submit relevant documents to International Affairs office.
Enrollment
Exchange students are required to pay the tuition fee specified in the Inter-University Agreement during the period of exchange education.
Exchange Student Training Period
The period of completion of exchange education at an exchange university is included in the student's year of study. Students may not voluntarily withdraw from school or leave school for the duration of the exchange.
Course Completion
Courses to be taken at an exchange college can be recognized as subjects. However, subjects with the same name as those already taken at the University cannot be taken in duplicate. Basic and liberal arts courses are excluded from the subjects for exchange education.
Credit Recognition Process
Students who wish to receive credits and grades earned through the exchange student program must submit a report card and grade report to the head of their department or the head professor of the department after the completion of exchange education. You may not be able to get the semester's approval.
Credit recognition
Credits earned for courses taken in the exchange student program can be credited up to 20 credits per semester, and in principle, they can be recognized as the real name of the courses taken at the university.
In the case of recognizing the credits earned by a foreign university, the "semester name of the foreign university completed" (country name) will be written in the relevant semester.
If the number of credits and the grading method of the courses taken at the university are different from those of the university, the result will be reviewed by the relevant department and converted into the grading standards of the university.
